I think this actually isn’t very hard to figure out. The question is: Can we figure out what a PatternMind is from story clues? What the heck is a “PatternMind”?Įlsenova made it quite clear that Trace’s abilities to resurrect himself using the rebirth chambers as well as his ability to defeat Athetos was his unique quality as a “PatternMind”. One could think of it like a program that has the ability to breach the memory boundaries of two processes running on the same computer. The Breach Attractor served a similar function, except in this case it could push aside the barriers separating universes. Put bluntly, the Axiom Disruptor is a device that can attack the code of this simulation, whether this code be for the overall model or the algorithms living within it, and modify or scramble the code. That is, each universe is basically The Matrix. This model implies that any given universe is a highly advanced computer simulation run by some grand computing device, but nobody present within that universe (an “algorithm”) is aware that this is the case. It is very clear that Axiom 1 is a precise definition of the “simulation model” of the universe. Alternatively, a component of the disruptor might have been the device that prevented the pathogen from affecting him to begin with.īut how exactly do you break these rules? Conjecturing, Athetos-Trace likely developed the disruptor during his final incursion on Sudra, but had to abandon it as a result of his need to imprison himself as a result of the pathogen. That makes the name of the Axiom Disruptor very literal, as it is a device precisely for breaking the rules. For, you see, if you make the rules of the game, you know precisely how to break the rules of the game. It is notable that Athetos-Trace established these axioms before he entered the Breach the “final” time. The important bit is they are not intrinsic or simply known: they must be explicitly defined before one can start proving theorems about the mathematical system that they establish. However, in mathematics, it has a very specific definition: an axiom is one of the “rules of the game”, so to speak. The most general definition is that an axiom is a fundamental truth. (c) Any algorithm giving rise to cognitive entities will be perceived as reality by the entities described.Īll right, so let’s talk about what an “axiom” is. (b) Cognition is a sub-algorithm whose behavior is to perceive properties of the parent algorithm describing it. (a) All algorithms are universal and valid, regardless of whether they are executed. One thing that he did not address, and I think it is very key, is the document entitled “AXIOM 1”. I want to address some of the things that he didn’t. If you want a good summary of the story, go check out this NeoGAF thread. The vagueness and secretiveness of this game’s story has been eating at me pretty hard. Also keep a lookout for any Secret World entrances - there should be a total of five Secret Worlds that you can access:Ģ Medium secret worlds in Eribu, Indi, or Ukkin-Naġ Hard secret world in Edin, E-Kur-Mah, or Mar-Uru.Okay, I absolutely have to write something about Axiom Verge. From there the progression of the game becomes fairly straightforward and you'll be able to easily figure it out.ĭo note that this is just the most direct progression in the game ideally you'd want to keep on going back to all the areas of the map that you previously can't access and get any items that you've missed (and you did miss a lot of them, judging from your item list). Once you have the Drone Teleport, you will finally be able to enter E-Kur-Mah, which is the temple at the summit of Kur. Once you you have the address bomb, you can then use it to clear the green glitch area that's blocking the path to the boss in Edin, and it is after defeating that boss that you'll be able to get the Drone Teleport, which will allow you to switch places with the location of your remote drone. There you will need to find the Address Bomb, which will allow you clear those green glitch areas that can't be disrupted by the Address Disruptor 2. Since you've already gotten the Trenchcoat/Brown Coat from Ukkin-Na, the next logical progression in the game is to go to Edin, which is the area just right of Ukkin-Na. Well you already have all the upgrades you need from Kur at this stage in the game.
